Starting my own streetwear brand at the age of 18 in 2013 was a transformative five-year journey that shaped my career and provided me with a wealth of skills and experience. From the initial stages of research and planning to the challenges of managing finances and sourcing materials/manufacturers, the process of building Köro Clothing demanded relentless dedication and adaptability. Additionally, the challenges, successes and failures of running a business at such a young age provided invaluable lessons in entrepreneurship, perseverance, and effective decision-making.
Throughout the journey, I honed my skills in creative design, marketing, team management, ecommerce and more. This hands-on experience allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set that extended beyond the boundaries of the fashion industry. Ultimately, the experience of starting and owning Köro not only fuelled my passion for the fashion industry but also shaped my career trajectory. Armed with the knowledge and experience gained, I emerged as a seasoned entrepreneur, creative director and designer ready to take on new ventures with confidence and determination. The skills acquired and the lessons learned during those five years continue to serve as a solid foundation for my current and future endeavours in the fashion industry.
